Welcome back?

Lately I’ve been reading a lot and have been wanting a place to put some thoughts together so I figured I’d start writing here again.  I went through the archives and deleted many old posts, mostly because some of them were shockingly stupid.  I think I got bored, bogged down in the mire of trying to present interesting content everyday so I quit posting in early May last year (what a convenient excuse).

I’ve decided to try and use this space less for sharing internet curiosities (although I’m sure there will be plenty of that once I stumble upon a particularly potent pot of coffee at 3am).  Instead, I’ll probably use my Twitter account (@pz_says_hi) for sharing links devoid of context.

Last January I launched this site and ambitiously (naively) aspired to read a book a week (update: I hope you are sitting down, that didn’t happen).  However this year will be different and amazingly I’m on pace (8 days into the new year).  I’ll still inevitably write about music and technology a healthy amount because 1) I’m 1/2 robot, 2) those are the things I’m most passionate about.

As a long-time fan of largehearted boy, I decided that in 2009 I will follow in his footsteps and read 52 books in 52 weeks.  I’ve been in school for the better part of the last decade so there hasn’t been much of a chance to read non-school related books, so this year I want to focus on reading more.
